Compliance Standards & Guidelines

In order to perform consistent home assessments throughout Australia which remain objective, comprehensive and relevant, AiPA has established a set of standards and guidelines.

Whilst, there are extensive rules, regulations and comprehensive standards for the disabled in the public/commercial arena in the aged care industry, nothing exists to cover the Australian private residential market.

The standards developed by AiPA form the bench mark for our new domestic assessment system drawing on relevant Australian and International research, standards, regulations as well as personal and professional experience available in the aged care industry.

These new Australian guidelines do not take the place of any of the Regulatory requirements governing the domestic building industry, but rather extend and compliment them. This information system simply adds to the owner/occupier’s ability to make an informed decision as to whether they might be able to effectively and efficiently modify their home so they may Age in Place.

The information system has been designed to be totally interactive and completely updateable to ensure that the information used in the AiPA services is current, consistent and relevant.
